Why

Last night I couldn't sleep, the house was totally quiet except for the calm breathing of my furry companion and I was inspired to document this chapter of our journey. Sage, known as "Yella Dawg" to her closest pals, turned 14 a few weeks ago. She's in great shape, in fact she blasted out the back door this morning after a squirrel and brought me a toy while I sat down to do this.

There isn't a lot of information out there about old dogs and Sage has outlived all the dogs in our circle, leaving me without a lot of reference.

I hope to document what's going on so I have a record of things, note milestones good and bad and share things I've learned that might help others.

You have to learn the new tricks - to make your old dog happy and comfortable - so this is what's working for us.
