1. Aspirin. Not Tylenol, not Advil.
2. Cosequin begins when they no longer will jump into the car. This was the advice from my Vet and it held very true. The stuff makes a huge difference in her ability and recovery.
3. When hearing is gone, it's time for the retractable leash. I know they tell you these are bad for training - but let's face it, those days are behind us. Now I need her to not wander into trouble when I can't call her back.
4. Bladders get smaller or weaker. And UTIs happen, too. Make sure your dog knows how to communicate when they need to go!
